Auditions for “Same Time Next Year”

USCB Center for the Arts and the Beaufort Theatre Company will hold auditions for its upcoming production of “Same Time Next Year” by John Vogel at 7 p.m. July 8 and 9 at USCB Center for the Arts, 801 Carteret Street in historic downtown Beaufort .  The romantic comedy follows Doris and George as they agree to meet every year for the next 24 years. The 1978 film version starred Alan Alda and Ellen Burstyn, who won a Tony for her Broadway performance in the same role.
“The Same Time Next Year” calls for one male and one female, age 30 to mid 40. All are encouraged to audition regardless of previous experience.  Auditions will consist of cold readings from the play. No preparation is necessary. The rehearsal schedule will be determined by the cast and director. A costume designer and stage manager are also being sought for the production.
