Haven’t made it to a Lowcountry farmers market this year? You haven’t missed your chance yet. In Beaufort and our surrounding area, many markets stay open well past the summer season, offering visitors a unique look at Lowcountry seasonal flavors and handmade good all year round. This fall, visit one (or more) to meet and support local farmers and businesses that call the Lowcountry home. Live music, crafts, fresh flowers and crisp fall air – it’s the perfect homegrown, Lowcountry good time.

1. Downtown Beaufort Farmer’s Market – Located in the Pigeon Point Park of the historic district, the Downtown Beaufort Farmers Market is every Wednesday from 2 – 6 p.m. But hurry! This market closes shop at the end of October. Grab local baked goods, crafts and everything in between, Wednesday’s from 2:00-6:00 p.m.






2. Port Royal Farmer’s Market – Located just minutes away from downtown Beaufort, the Port Royal Farmer’s Market operates year-round, rain or shine, every Saturday. Doors open at 9:00 a.m. and don’t close down until noon. Whether you’re there to shop or simply sip on some locally brewed coffee with live music in the background—you’re sure to have a great time. Plus, there’s free activities for children to keep





3. Penn Center Farmer's Market: Located at the historic Penn Center, where Martin Luther King reportedly drafted his, “I have a dream speech,” this newly launched farmers market opens every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. through the end of October. Enjoy locally grown, farm fresh produce, local arts and so much more. If you have extra time, make a day out of St. Helena Island and take a Plantation and Gullah Tour with Beaufort Tours to learn all about the island’s history, explore the Penn Center and more.
