BEAUFORT, S.C., Jan. 30, 2017 – For many Americans, TripAdvisor is known as the go-to portal for peer reviews for vacation planning. Each year, TripAdvisor announces its top hotels and destinations through the Travelers’ Choice awards. And this year, the Beaufort Regional Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that two Beaufort, S.C.-based hotels have landed on TripAdvisor’s 2017 “Top Hotels in the Country” lists.
Earning the 13th spot on the “Top 25 B&Bs and Inns in the United States” list, Anchorage 1770 has been touted for its Southern charm and breathtaking views. This beautifully restored riverfront mansion features 15 rooms and plenty of history. The Inn was once a private estate, a Union Army hospital and a clubhouse for the literary elite.
City Loft Hotel was also awarded a top 25 spot on the United States list of “Top 25 Small Hotels.” Landing at number 23, the 22-room boutique style hotel is in the heart of historic downtown Beaufort and praised for its urban design. The hotel provides guests with a chic experience and best-in-class amenities with walking distance to the shopping, dining and the riverfront park.
“We are proud that Beaufort has two lodging options that are not just the top of the line in South Carolina, but in the country,” said Robb Wells, vice president of tourism division for the Beaufort Regional Chamber of Commerce. “There are a variety of sights and experiences here in Beaufort, and we’re very excited that we can offer the best of the best to our visitors.”
Travelers' Choice awards are the highest honor TripAdvisor can bestow.
