Beaufort Counts Down to 300 Years; 300 Night Giveaway

The Beaufort Regional Chamber of Commerce Tourism Organization and area travel partners are offering guests vacation packages at just $300 through the end of September for use through 2012!* In addition, 13 local accommodation properties are also offering complimentary two-night stays to lucky winners. Beaufort’s official Tricentennial celebration event will occur on September 17th with a party at the Henry C. Chambers Waterfront Park along with a historical parade throughout downtown. The parade will depict Beaufort’s past 300 years chronologically. Scheduled to be the Grand Marshall, is Gary Sinise, whose band, Lt. Dan Band, is also expected to perform the evening of the 16th. A concert by the Parris Island Marine Corps Band, a presentation by the color guard, a gun salute and a birthday cake are also part of the event. The sweepstakes and promotional packages allow guests the opportunity to participate in this historic event – and celebrate the heart & soul of the Lowcountry.
