CIVITAS Awards for Business Excellence
Business leaders throughout the region gather to hear a keynote speaker on key business issues, recognize the leadership of chamber’s Board of Directors and learn about the organization’s strategic direction on behalf of the larger business community. Generally scheduled for January each year.

New Member Welcome Reception
These receptions provide a great opportunity to introduce new chamber member businesses and their representatives to the organization, its Board of Directors and community leaders, and to other new chamber members. Well attended and informative, the receptions are excellent networking and business building events. Scheduled quarterly.

Annual Legislative Reception
Connecting with state and local elected officials and others who influence public policy is key to the success of any business, and the chamber takes a leadership role to make this an opportunity for its members. Sponsorship of this event positions your business with high recognition, high-level commitment to the business community, and sharp business acumen. It attracts decision makers from every business and industry sector for an evening with hors d’oeuvres, beverages and networking opportunities.
Sponsorship fee: $1,500.

Annual Shrimp Festival
This weekend event draws thousands of visitors and residents alike to the Beaufort waterfront to enjoy Lowcountry cuisine, music, a 5K run and walk and a competition among area restaurants. The next event is scheduled for October 2009.

The Beaufort Kaleidoscope:
Film, Food & Fine Art
The March 5-8, 2009, event features the Beaufort Film Festival, popular open house in many participating art galleries, parties, dinners and more.
Sponsorships are available from $500 to $20,000.

Military Appreciation Day
Each year the chamber and its members recognize the significant role the military carries in our broader community by hosting a fun-filled day at one of our beautiful public parks. A barbecue, exhibits and displays, kids' activities and games bring the community and the military together for this special time. A great marketing opportunity for chamber members in a real family atmosphere. Set for a Saturday in mid-May.

Business After Hours
Each month 150-200 business owners, managers and representatives attend an after-hours reception to make new business contacts and foster existing ones. Chamber member businesses host the event and have the opportunity to provide tours and overviews of their business products and services. Sponsor reservations are generally one year or more in advance.

Grand Openings
If yours is a new business ready to open, or if you’ve had a recent expansion or renovation, a grand opening puts your business in the spotlight to a key group of decision makers and business contacts. The chamber will work with you to have a grand opening & ribbon cutting that attracts the people you want and gets media attention. Requires reservations one month in advance.
