Advocacy
Beaufort County’s primary economic engines are tourism and the military. The Beaufort Regional Chamber advocates maintaining and expanding our primary business sectors while seeking out opportunities to diversify the economy and build on the existing base of successful small businesses. Advocacy activities include organizing Beaufort Day in Columbia, attending meetings in Columbia, and monitoring on a regular basis local government meetings. In addition, the Chamber works closely with our U.S. delegation with a focus on protecting and growing our military installations.
Voter Education
The Beaufort Regional Chamber of Commerce provides opportunities for its members and the public to learn about candidates. Candidate information is available on the website and the Chamber schedules public forums to provide opportunities for the public to learn about the candidates. The Chamber also hosts a legislative reception each year for its members to meet the people that represent Beaufort County at the local and state level.
